Zelenskyy said he requires “everything” from the US in security guarantees, including weapons, training, intelligence, and a strong army, to reach a war-ending deal.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said he was open to the "idea" of direct talks with Ukraine, as he spoke by phone with Trump, Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said.

Trump said the United States would work closely with Ukraine and Russia, as well as other stakeholders, to ensure that peace, once achieved, is long-term and not limited to short-term arrangements that could lead to new conflict.
