After many abortive attempts to head towards the 26000 mark, the indices seem to be showing signs of fatigue. Fundamentals and flows are not very supportive either. Results from the IT sector both from the leaders and mid-tier companies, have been disappointing. Banks have managed a mixed show with PSU banks faring better on growth and asset quality, while private banks have doubled down on pre-emptive provisions. As the trade deal with the US continues to hang fire, it appears unlikely that any deal will be sealed before the August 1 deadline. Markets are however perhaps yet to digest payoffs from the India-UK FTA. We have a treasure trove of recommendations for you this week.
