Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has begun a landmark 5-day state visit to India — his first since taking office. The visit marks 75 years of diplomatic ties between India and the Philippines and comes at a time when Indo-Pacific geopolitics is seeing a major churn.President Marcos received a ceremonial welcome by President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
