15 crew stranded as container ship tilts off Kerala coast; rescue ops on

A Liberia-flagged container ship, MSC ELSA 3, is tilting near Kochi. The ship had departed from Vizhinjam port. The Indian Coast Guard launched a major rescue operation. Nine crew members abandoned the ship. They are in liferafts. Rescue efforts are ongoing for the remaining fifteen crew members. Authorities are working to prevent loss of life and environmental damage.
