Delhi Police apprehended Amit, a 29-year-old suspected member of the 'thak-thak' gang, for allegedly stealing a Glock pistol from a Crime Branch sub-inspector's car. The theft occurred in Maurice Nagar after the officer parked his car outside an eatery. The Anti-Auto Theft Squad recovered the weapon from Amit in Madangir. He admitted intending to sell the firearm before his arrest.
Trusting the process, he transferred Rs 12,000. Only later did he realize that no booking had been made. This too has been reported to the Cyber Crime Police Station.
